I am a professional photographer based in Antwerp, Belgium. Photography has been my passion for nearly four decades.

My journey began at the age of fourteen, when my eldest brother gave me an extraordinary gift: his old Nikon F single-lens reflex camera equipped with a modest 50 mm lens. This experience sparked an immediate fascination with the photographic medium and laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to visual storytelling.

Shortly thereafter, I began undertaking small family reportage assignments. The income generated from these early projects was consistently reinvested in improving my photographic equipment and developing my technical expertise.

Although photography had long been an integral part of my life, my professional career officially commenced in 2007, when I was commissioned to photograph the Nürnberger Symphoniker in Nuremberg, Germany. This opportunity marked the beginning of my professional practice and opened the door to a wide range of artistic and commercial assignments.

For many years, I specialized in jewellery and diamond photography, a field that demands exceptional precision, technical mastery, and attention to detail. However, my greatest artistic fulfilment comes from stage photography, encompassing music, theatre, opera, and ballet. Capturing the emotion, movement, and atmosphere of live performance remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Equally significant is my passion for black-and-white portrait photography. For me, the ultimate achievement of portraiture lies not merely in recording a face or a figure, but in revealing something deeper: the character, emotion, and soul of the individual before the lens.
